Bonjour! So I’m Tom & I’ve just become part of the Property Webmaster team in the last few weeks, so this post is a friendly little hello just to introduce myself & to tell you a bit about my previous experience and also so you can find out what I’m going to be bringing to the team.
I feel like I’m doing an audition for an RAF voiceover, “I was born in Middlesbrough, but I was raised in Billingham”. I am more of a creative individual, which stemmed from when I started college and I was allowed to express myself with the way I dress. I much prefer the outdoors in the countryside and enjoying a bit of peace & quiet, as opposed to a night out in the town.
I have a huge work background in the fashion industry, from being a writer for multiple fashion & sneaker companies to finishing my degree studying Fashion Communications and receiving a tasty 2:1. Also for a few years, I ran my own clothing line and worked independently which was immense fun and shown me how hard work pays off.
You’ll most likely catch me obsessing about cars or watching a Manchester United game at home, but I also love going to the gym with my family, playing football, going on adventures on the weekend, oh and I literally can’t go a day without a Monster Energy drink.
I got into digital marketing probably when I was around 17, when I first turned my Instagram following into my customers, I gained around 5000 followers at the time and realised they were invested in my opinions and fashion choices, so I decided to open a clothing line and purely market myself online. At its peak, my Instagram account reached 20,000 followers and I ended up posting garments to over 36 countries. But whilst at University I had to slow it down, which led to me working as a content writer for 15 months, writing newsletters, editorials, social media posts, you name it I’ve done it.
When I first finished my degree I jumped straight into work and found myself at a prestigious company, working as a social media executive, this role gave me huge amounts of confidence as I managed 12 clients including huge companies such as Rington’s, whilst here I learnt how to successfully run paid advert campaigns, whilst developing my past writing skills so I could create engaging organic content. I was there for around 10 months and decided I wanted to challenge myself and take on even bigger tasks which have led me to here.
I will be upping the ante for everyone’s social media presence, creating internal and external strategies to ensure maximum performance whether that be through increased lead generation, getting more traffic onto a website, or increasing your engagement. My main skills that I will be bringing to the company are dominantly Social Media, Email marketing & written content. I will be bringing my fun and creative nature to your campaigns, with a mindset that doesn’t see failure as an option, only succeeding is in my vocabulary.
